Description: Solid quartered oak sliding door bookcase made by Paine
Furniture, Boston (label is on back - see photo). It has an egg and dart
carved molding just under the top. An intricately carved column is on each
side of the case. It has well defined claw feet in the front. There is a
divider in the middle with four original adjustable shelves on each side.
The sliding doors work well and it even has a working key. Paine Furniture
made some of the best quality furniture in New England. The beautiful tiger
grain on the front and sides is especially vibrant!
