Description: Delightful Child's Horse and Carriage with the original spoked wheels and a lovely curled metal handle with fine center turning. The horse has a wooden head (appears to be spruce or fir), glass eyes, and an open mouth with teeth on the top and bottom of its open jaw. The body of the horse is covered in it's original brown and white hide. It is hand sewn with some small tears, old mending, and small openings, indicative of its age. The carriage is like a small buckboard with a rounded back, tapered spindles, and curved foot rest (small age split in foot rest). The attachments for the handle show remnants of old blue paint. Four small support brackets have been added underneath by a previous owner. The leather bridle, ears, and other leathers straps have been replaced over the years, along with hair for the mane and tail. The horse is attached by a "U" shaped bracket that has a bar that connects to the front wheel to make the horse "bob up and down" when the wheel turns!
