Description: Handsome Double Slotted Victorian Walnut Two Part Secretary with a very elaborately carved original crest. Under the crest is a notched horizontal panel with rosettes. Then there are two glass doors with scrolled half round turnings on each of the side stiles (quite unusual). The three original interior shelves are adjustable. The inset double slotted cylinder roll has lovely burl and also raised burl panels on each side. The large drawer underneath steps out with two small drawers and a cupboard underneath. The interior of the cupboard has the original vertical file section. When the roll is back, it reveals a pull out writing surface with green material, cubbyholes and two small drawers. The drawer pulls are cast and original, with one replace key cover. Notice the fine deep scroll carvings on the sides under the large drawer and the corresponding notch carvings that match the top section.
