Description: Rare oak drafting solid quartered oak table with the original
label that states "Jesse Crowell Lewis, Milford, N.H, Patented Feb 11, 1908."
(see photo). The front flaps can extend out and the top mechanically lifts
up to be at an angle for display. There is a strip of oak that recesses
into the top. There are adjustments that push this strip out to hold paper
when the top is tilted. You pull it even with the top again when you wish to
use it as a flat writing surface. There is a drawer in the middle with the
original brass pull. A most interesting and functional rare piece of
documented American made innovative furniture!
