Description: Lovely solid quartered oak partner's desk signed "Cutler" in
all of the top drawers - see photo. Both sides of the desk are identical
although one side is slightly lighter from sun exposure -see photos as both
sides are shown. There is a pull out writing surface underneath the top on
each side. Each side has three smaller drawers over the larger file drawer.
Notice the curved front on the ends of the center drawer. The pulls are
typical for the Cutler desk with carved ends. Four raised panels decorate
each side. The oak wood that Cutler choose for their desks is always the best with
very strong tiger grain. There was a separator bar between the two banks
that is missing. It's main function was to steady the desk when being moved
but we would recommend that the desk be taken apart to move anyway. We
shared this desk in our home office for over twenty years. It is an
attractive very useful desk made by one of the better companies of the
period!
